DT for Glitter N Sparkle

Morning ......the extra hour in bed means am feeling fresh as a daisy...hope you all are too....only problem with that extra hour is it equals the start of dark mornings and dark nights early and it affects my mood dreadfully...hate this time of the year, going to work in the dark and coming back in the dark = one sad me!
On a sad note too it has been decided by the admins of Crafting from the Heart  (whom I have been DT for a very short time) ...that they are shutting down the blog for the time being as both admins have been having a very difficult time of late in their personal lives...am wishing both Erin & Fiona all the very best wishes and love to them both.

However all is not lost.... it has led to something new and am really excited to be part of...all I am saying for now is check out Get Creative Challenges

I got to use an image from "A Day For Daisys" - Fancy Hat for Halloween

I used my promarkers to colour the image in - my eldest daughter insisted the witch be green!

Backing paper I printed off from an image my friend used on Facebook!  No idea where she got it from!!

The orange border is one of my many growing punches from the Tonic range and the sentiment I used my iniative and did it from Word document and coloured in with promarkers!

Challenge 107 at Glitter N Sparkle

Have had a wonderful weekend ....Saturday was spent at my work colleague and friend Katie's wedding in a beautiful venue at Whitley Hall....she looked stunning, everything about the day was perfect....weather was gorgeous has was the beautiful settings, the food, the company...I want to do it all again and I am not the bride!  And today to top a amazing weekend off I went with my friend Linda to the Doncaster Dome and spent some pennies on new crating stash at the Stamp Magic Show...was fab as had all my favourites there...Phill Martin, Kathy Mills and the wonderful Chloe ...lush products could have spent more if I had it !!!

Glitter N Sparkle DT ....new challenge

Sunday....meant to be day of rest?! noooooo not in my house......one and only chance of a lie-in in my week as its my only day off and you think its not too much to ask but no...."mum will you take me to work please?"....never heard of a bus Liam I want to shout, but no I wearily get out of bed get dressed and off to work I take him ...whilst I am up and about thought a bit of Asda shopping is in order...the phone rings and my sister asks "please will you take me to Cortonwood...need a few bits" ...again I want to shout never heard of a bus but no off I go dutifully take them there and back 3 hours later...and then I head back home for my breakfast (which is now 1.30pm!) ...chance of a sit down...oh no...housework, washing and ironing, dog walking, hair-dyeing youngests hair, DT card to catch up on, dinner to prepare and then joy of joys back to Wath to pick son up after his working day as he "forgot" his bus pass and wallet....ppppffft! So I now find its 10.30pm at night still need a bath and sort out dinners for kids tomorrow and dogs to see to before I can finally sit down...but hang on isn't it bedtime?! Dear Lord the day as well and truly flown by!!  Roll on my next day off next Sunday...not!!!

Better late than never!

Evening all......
Am a little late at blogging this week with my DT card for this weeks challenge over at

Crafting From The Heart

but to be fair....its been my Birthday....I turned 46 yesterday...another year older and wiser as the saying goes....but how come I still feel 18 in my head....I look at my 22 year old daughter and think...Christ I remember being her age like it was yesterday ...how on earth does the time fly by so quickly in a blink of the eye I have turned into a middle aged woman!....No not having that am still 18 in my head and heart (although think my body would disagree there!!!)

Anyway enough of the rambling ...there's a challenge to be had and entered !!!

New Challenge At Glitter N Sparkle - 105

Been a little quiet on blogland for a couple of weeks....sooooo busy at work and absolutely zero free time as those kids of mine....and I use the term kids loosely as they are now 22, 18 & 16...run me or should I say them... here there and everywhere & then there are the 2 dogs to see to ....some nights am not getting back home until after 9pm and am shattered ...no time for any crafting which results in me sulking!
Am totally shattered this week...my one lie-in is something I am really looking forward to ....can hear the bed calling me as I am typing up this!!!
So enough jibber jabber on to the reason for my post......its a new challenge over at

Love this super cute image just because I love doggies! And this image is just lovely!

As always used the trusty Promarkers for colouring

I decided to use blue and brown cardstock and found a little strip of pawprints from my odds and sods basket (always comes in handy now and again!)

Used some blue bling and decided to dust down the peel off box as I very barely use them now and used an Happy Birthday peel off along with a couple of balloon ones

Used a 7 x 7 card and went for the easel shape just for a change!
